  • 1/2 c. margarine
  • 2 c. sugar
  • 3 c. chopped dates
  • 4 eggs, well beaten
  • 1/2 tsp. vanilla
  • 2 tsp. nuts, chopped fine
  • 4 c. Rice Krispies
  • flaked coconut

Directions

    Combine first 4 ingredients; cook slowly in an iron skillet at 350° for about 15 minutes, or until thick, stirring constantly. Remove from heat; add vanilla, nuts and Rice Krispies.

    Cool slightly.

    Shape into balls with buttered hands.

    Roll in coconut. Keep in a cool place.
