- 1 qt. vinegar
- 3 qt. water
- 1 c. canning salt
- 2 dill sprigs (to each qt. of pickles)
- 1/4 tsp. alum (to each qt. of pickles)
Directions

1Wash cucumbers; put dill in bottom of each jar.

2Place cucumbers neatly in jar.

3Bring vinegar mixture to boil.

4Pour over cucumbers. Add alum. Put on lids.

5Set aside to cure for 6 weeks.

6Mixture can be saved to use for next batch.
