  • 3 c. water
  • 1/2 c. vinegar
  • 1/4 c. salt
  • 3 heads fresh dill
  • 1/8 tsp. alum (for each jar)
  • 1 clove garlic (for each jar)
  • small cucumbers (enough to fill 3 qt. jars)

Directions

    Wash cucumbers and pack into jars.

    Add one head of dill, alum and 1 clove garlic to each jar.

    Bring water, vinegar and salt to a boil.

    Pour over cucumbers.

    Cover with canning lids and seal. Process for only 10 minutes.

    Let pickle for at least 2 weeks.
