- 2 cucumbers (unpeeled)
- 1 c. white vinegar
- 1 c. sugar
- 1/2 c. water
- 2 tsp. salt
- 2 tsp. chopped fresh dill
- 2 medium onions, sliced
Directions

1Up to 1 week before serving, slice cucumbers very thinly.

2In saucepan, combine vinegar, sugar, water and salt; bring to a boil. Layer cucumber and onion slices in jars or container with a cover.

3Pour hot vinegar mixture over vegetables; add dill on top. Cover tightly and refrigerate.

4Serve as a salad on greens or with hamburgers, etc., as a relish.

5Makes 1 quart.
