- 2 c. water
- 3/4 c. vinegar
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 1/2 Tbsp. chopped fresh dill weed or 1 1/2 tsp. dried whole dill weed
- 1 tsp. onion powder
- 1/4 tsp. garlic powder
- 1/2 lb. fresh whole green beans
- 3 large carrots, cut into julienne strips
- 3 stalks celery, cut into julienne strips
Directions

1Combine the first 7 ingredients in a large saucepan.

2Bring to a boil; cover, reduce heat and simmer 15 minutes.

3Add beans, carrots and celery.

4Return mixture to a boil; cover, reduce heat and simmer 5 minutes.

5Place vegetables in a shallow container; pour vinegar mixture over vegetables.

6Cover and chill at least 8 hours.

7Yields 4 to 6 servings.
