- 1 pkg. dry yeast
- 1/4 c. warm water
- 1 c. creamed cottage cheese, heated to lukewarm
- 2 Tbsp. sugar
- 1 Tbsp. minced onion
- 1 Tbsp. butter
- 2 tsp. dill seed
- 1/4 tsp. baking soda
- 1 unbeaten egg
- 2 1/4 to 2 1/2 c. flour
- garlic salt
- soft butter
Directions

1Soften yeast in warm water.

2Combine with next 7 ingredients. Add flour, a little at a time, beating after each addition.

3Make a stiff dough.

4Cover and let rise, in a warm place, until doubled.

5Stir down and place in well-greased loaf pan.

6Sprinkle liberally with garlic salt.

7Let rise again and bake at 350° for 40 minutes, until golden brown.

8Brush with soft butter and sprinkle with salt.
