Ingredients

  • 1 pkg. dry yeast
  • 1/4 c. warm water
  • 1 c. cottage cheese, heated to barely lukewarm
  • 2 Tbsp. sugar
  • 1 Tbsp. instant minced onion
  • 1 Tbsp. butter
  • 2 tsp. dill seed
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 tsp. soda
  • 1 unbeaten egg
  • 2 to 2 1/4 c. flour

    Soften yeast in warm water.

    Combine in bowl the remaining ingredients, except flour, with yeast.

    Add flour.

    Cover.

    Let rise in warm place 1 hour or until doubled.

    Knead with a little flour and turn into well-greased 8-inch round casserole.

    Let rise 30 to 40 minutes.

    Bake at 350° about 30 minutes and golden brown. Brush with soft butter and sprinkle with a little salt.
