Ingredients
- 1 pkg. yeast
- 1 c. creamed cottage cheese
- 1 Tbsp. instant minced onion
- 2 tsp. dill seed
- 1/4 tsp. baking soda
- 2 1/4 to 2 1/2 c. flour
- 1/2 c. warm water
- 2 Tbsp. sugar
- 1 Tbsp. butter
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 egg
Directions

1Dissolve yeast in water.

2Heat cottage cheese to lukewarm. Combine sugar, onion, butter, dill seed, salt, baking soda and egg in a bowl with cheese and yeast mixture.

3Add flour to form stiff dough.

4Cover and let rise until doubled in bulk.

5Stir down dough. Turn into well-greased 1 1/2-quart casserole or 8-inch round pan. Let rise 30 to 40 minutes or until light.

6Bake in 350° oven 40 to 50 minutes.

7Brush with butter and sprinkle with salt.

8Yields 1 loaf.
