- 1 stick margarine, softened
- 1 c. sugar
- 1 egg, well beaten
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 4 c. Rice Krispies
- coconut
- 1 pkg. dates, chopped
- 1 c. chopped pecans
Directions

1Mix margarine and sugar.

2Add well beaten egg and package of chopped dates.

3Cook together over low heat until dissolved.

4Add 1 cup chopped pecans and cook 8 minutes longer, stirring constantly.

5Remove from heat and add 1 teaspoon vanilla; stir. Add Rice Krispies and mix well.

6Form in small balls and roll in flaked coconut.

7These may be made in advance and frozen or refrigerated for days.
