- 1 c. lukewarm water
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 2 pkg. dry yeast
- 1 egg
- 3/4 c. hot water
- 1 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/3 c. shortening
- 5 to 5 1/2 c. flour
Directions

1Combine lukewarm water, sugar and yeast; set aside.

2In separate bowl mix together remaining ingredients.

3Stir in yeast mixture.

4Place in greased bowl.

5Lightly oil top of dough.

6Will keep in refrigerator for 4 to 5 days.

7Punch down dough and form into balls.

8Let rise 1 1/2 to 2 hours.

9Bake at 375° for 20 minutes.

10Makes 27 rolls.
