- 1 pkg. active dry yeast
- 1/4 c. warm water
- 2 eggs
- 2 c. milk
- 1/2 c. melted butter
- 1 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 6 c. flour, sifted before measuring
Directions

1Sprinkle yeast into a large bowl.

2Add warm water and stir until dissolved.

3Add eggs, milk, butter, salt and sugar.

4Stir until well blended.

5Stir in 3 cups of flour, beating until smooth after each cup is added.

6Add fourth cup; beat until dough is smooth and elastic.

7Stir in 5th cup of flour to make stiff dough. Measure 6th cup of flour and sprinkle about half of it onto a breadboard or any flat surface.

8Turn dough out onto the floured surface and with well-floured hands, knead dough until smooth and elastic (about 5 to 7 minutes).

9Use remaining flour as needed.
