- 2 c. sugar
- 1/2 c. white corn syrup
- 1/2 c. water
- dash of salt
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 2 egg whites
- 1 c. pecans
Directions

1Stir sugar, corn syrup, water and salt until dissolved.

2Boil to medium ball stage (240°).

3Pour slowly 1/3 of hot mixture over stiffly beaten egg whites, beating constantly.

4Cook remaining syrup to 265°.

5Beat syrup into candy mixture.

6When mixture holds shape, add 1 teaspoon of vanilla.

7Drop on waxed paper. (Any food coloring can be used.)

8Add pecans when candy loses shine.
