- 3 c. sugar
- 2/3 c. Karo
- 1/3 c. water
- 2 egg whites
- 1 1/2 c. chopped pecans
- 1 tsp. vanilla
Directions

1Cook the sugar, Karo and water slowly until starts to spin a thread.

2Beat the egg whites stiff and add about 1/3 syrup to this. Beat.

3Put the remaining syrup back on the stove and cook a few minutes longer.

4Pour another 1/2 of this in the egg white mixture and beat.

5Put the remaining syrup back on fire and cook until crack stage when dropped in cold water.

6Take off stove and add remaining syrup to egg white mixture.

7Beat.

8Add the pecans and vanilla and beat until stiff.

9Pour in buttered platter.
