  • 2 eggs, separated
  • 1 c. nut meats, chopped coarsely
  • 2 c. sugar
  • 1/2 c. light corn syrup
  • 1/2 c. water
  • 2 egg whites
  • 1/8 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. vanilla

    Preparation:

    Assemble ingredients and utensils needed. Separate eggs.

    Chop nut meats coarsely.

    Combine, in a saucepan, sugar, light corn syrup and water.

    Cook, stirring, until sugar dissolved, then cook over low heat, without stirring, to hard ball stage (265°).

    Test by dropping a few drops in a cup of cold water.
