- 2 1/2 c. herbed croutons
- 2 c. shredded Cheddar cheese
- 1 1/2 lb. hot or mild sausage
- 4 eggs
- 2 1/4 c. milk
- 3/4 tsp. dry mustard
- 1 can cream of mushroom soup
- 1/2 c. milk
Directions

1Place croutons on bottom of buttered 8 x 11-inch or 9 x 13-inch dish.

2Top with most of the cheese, then layer browned and drained sausage.

3Beat eggs with 2 1/4 cups of milk and dry mustard.

4Pour mixture on top of sausage and sprinkle on remaining cheese.

5Refrigerate overnight.

6Next morning, mix soup and milk; pour over top of casserole and bake 1 1/2 hours at 300°.

7Serves 8 to 10.
