- 1 c. rolled oats
- 1/3 c. margarine
- 1 c. boiling water
- 3/4 c. cornmeal
- 1 Tbsp. sugar
- 2 tsp. instant bouillon
- 1/2 c. milk
- 1 c. shredded Cheddar
- 1 egg, beaten
- 2 to 3 c. flour
Directions

1Heat oven to 325°.

2Grease cookie sheets.

3In large bowl, combine oats, margarine and water.

4Let stand 10 minutes.

5Stir in remaining ingredients, except flour; mix well.

6Add flour 1 cup at a time, mixing well to form a stiff dough.

7On floured surface, knead in remaining flour until no longer sticky.

8Roll out to 1/2-inch thickness; cut with bite size cookie cutters.

9Place 1-inch apart on cookie sheets.

10Bake 35 to 45 minutes.

11Store loosely covered.
