Ingredients

  • 1/2 lb. ground lamb
  • 1/2 lb. ground beef
  • 4 to 5 canned tomatoes plus juice
  • 3/4 can tomato sauce
  • 3/4 chopped green pepper
  • 2 to 3 cloves crushed garlic
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 3/4 c. rice
  • 1 lemon (juice for cooking)
  • 1/4 c. water
  • 4 to 5 squash
  • 4 to 5 bell peppers
  • 4 to 5 firm tomatoes

Directions

    Mix together first 9 ingredients with the 1/4 cup water and stuff the squash, bell peppers and tomatoes.

    Arrange in pan and add water to top of Dolmas.

    Add salt and juice of one lemon. Bring to a boil.

    Reduce heat.

    Cover and cook 45 minutes to one hour.
