Don'S Bread Pudding

Directions

   Break bread into small pieces.

   Place in mixing bowl with 1 cup sugar, evaporated milk, 2 cups milk, vanilla, egg yolks and melted butter.

   Mix well.

   Pour into 10 x 8 x 2-inch baking pan. Bake in a preheated oven at 325° for 45 minutes.

   Remove and make meringue.

   Beat egg whites with 1/4 cup sugar until stiff.

   Cover pudding with meringue and rebake for 3 or 4 minutes until meringue is golden.

   Serves 12.
