- 1 1/2 lb. lean ground beef
- 1 egg
- 3/4 c. cracker crumbs
- 1/2 c. finely chopped onion
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1/2 tsp. oregano
- 1/8 tsp. pepper
- 2 (8 oz.) cans tomato sauce
- 2 c. shredded Cheddar cheese
Directions

1Combine beef, egg, cracker crumbs, onion, 1/3 cup sauce, salt, oregano and pepper.

2Mix well and shape into flat 10 x 12-inch wax paper.

3Sprinkle cheese evenly over meat mixture.

4Roll up like jelly roll and press ends of roll to seal.

5Bake in shallow dish at 350° for 1 hour.

6Drain excess fat. Pour remaining sauce over roll and bake an additional 15 minutes.
