Double Quick Dinner Rolls

- 2 1/4 c. plain flour
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 egg
- 2 Tbsp. soft shortening
- 2 Tbsp. sugar
- 1 c. warm water
- 1 pkg. active dry yeast
Directions

1Put all ingredients in bowl.

2Mix well until smooth.

3Scrape sides of bowl and cover with plastic wrap.

4Let rise in warm place until doubles (about 30 minutes).

5Grease 12 large muffin cups. Stir down raised dough.

6Spoon into muffin cups, filling 1/2 full. Let rise again until double (20 to 30 minutes).

7Heat oven to 400°.

8Bake 15 to 20 minutes.
