Ingredients
- 2 pkg. yeast, dissolved in 1/2 c. warm water
- 2 eggs
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 1/3 c. melted shortening
- 4 c. all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1 c. warm milk
Directions

1Put eggs in bowl, add sugar, shortening, milk and salt.

2Mix together.

3Add yeast which has been dissolved in the warm water, vanilla and flour.

4Mix well.

5Let dough rise 1/2 hour in bowl, then put dough on a floured board, knead.

6Let stand and rise for 45 minutes.

7Roll dough 1/2-inch thick.

8Cut into doughnuts.

9Let rise and put in hot grease until brown.

10Turn over doughnuts to brown other side.

11Put into glaze.
