Dried Fruit "Sausage"

  • 5 1/2 tablespoons almonds
  • 1 2/3 cups dried figs
  • 1 1/4 cups dried apricots
  • 6 3/8 tablespoons walnuts
  • 1/2 tablespoon brandy
  • 1 tablespoon honey

    In a blender, finely chop the almonds. Set aside.

    Also chop the figs in the blender so they form a thick and sticky paste.

    Add the almonds and mix.

    Add the chopped walnuts, apricots cut into small pieces, brandy, and honey. Mix well to obtain a very thick paste.

    Roll the dough into a sausage and wrap it in a piece of parchement paper. The paper will prevent it from drying out. Store in a cool place. It can be made 2 to 3 days in advance.

    To serve, cut into slices.
