- 2 c. sugar
- 1 1/2 c. shortening
- 2 eggs
- 2 tsp. vanilla
- 1 1/2 tsp. nutmeg
- 6 c. flour
- 1 1/2 c. milk
- 3 tsp. baking powder
- 1 tsp. soda
Directions

1Cream sugar and shortening.

2Add eggs, nutmeg, vanilla and baking powder.

3Mix soda with milk; add alternately with flour. Drop with soup spoon on greased cookie sheet.

4Bake plain or sprinkle with sugar or cinnamon-sugar mixture.

5Bake in 350° oven for 10 to 12 minutes.

6Do not overbake.
