  • 1 (8 oz.) can crushed pineapple
  • 1 (18 oz.) pkg. cake mix
  • 1 (21 oz.) can pie filling
  • 3 oz. coconut (if desired)
  • chopped nuts (if desired)
  • 1 stick shortening, cut

Directions

  1. 1
    Place crushed pineapple on bottom of a greased 9 x 13-inch pan. Alternate other ingredients except shortening which is added last.

    Bake at 325° to 350° for 20 to 30 minutes.

    Can be served with whipped topping, if desired.
