- 1 1/2 c. flour
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 3 tsp. baking powder
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1 c. milk
- 1 egg, beaten
- 3 Tbsp. melted butter
- 4 to 5 apples

- cinnamon
Directions

1Mix and sift flour, baking powder, salt and 1/2 cup sugar. Add beaten egg and melted butter to milk.

2Combine 2 mixtures and blend well.

3Spread dough evenly in well-buttered pan.

4Let rise 10 minutes in warm place.

5Lay sliced apples in rows on dough, pressing in.

6Sprinkle with sugar, dot with butter (melted) and dust with cinnamon.

7Bake at 350° about 30 minutes or until center is done.

8Serve hot or cold or with milk.
