  • 1 c. coconut
  • 1 c. chopped nuts (I use pecans)
  • 1 box chocolate cake mix (Swiss, German chocolate or double Dutch)
  • 1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese
  • 1 box powdered sugar
  • 1 stick margarine, melted

Directions

    Mix together coconut and chopped nuts; press into the bottom of a 9 x 13-inch pan.

    Mix the cake mix as directed and pour over coconut and nut mixture.

    In a separate bowl, mix together remaining ingredients and drop on top of cake using a teaspoon. Bake at 350° for 45 minutes to 1 hour.

    Cake should look like an earthquake goes right through the middle when done.
