- 1/4 c. butter or margarine
- 1 1/4 c. self-rising flour
- 2 tsp. sugar
- 2/3 c. buttermilk
Directions

1Heat oven to 450°.

2In a skillet, melt butter in oven.

3Remove pan from oven.

4Measure flour and sugar into bowl.

5Add buttermilk.

6Stir just until dough forms, about 30 strokes.

7Turn dough onto well-floured cloth covered (or waxed paper) board. Roll dough to coat with flour.

8Knead lightly, about 10 times. Roll out less than 1/2 inch thick.

9Cut with floured biscuit cutter.

10Dip each in butter on both sides.

11Bake 10 to 12 minutes.
