Ingredients
- 8 slices bread, crusts removed and cubed
- 2 c. grated cheese (sharp, American or Velveeta)
- 1 lb. sausage, cooked (any kind of breakfast sausage)
- 1 c. cooked sliced mushrooms (canned or fresh)
- 4 eggs
- 2 1/2 c. milk
- 3/4 tsp. dry mustard
- 1 can cream of mushroom soup, diluted with 1/2 c. milk
Directions

1Place cubed bread in bottom of well-greased baking dish (8 x 12-inch or 9 x 13-inch).

2Top with grated cheese, sausage and mushrooms.

3Beat eggs with 2 1/2 cups milk and mustard.

4Pour milk mixture over bread, sausage, cheese, etc.

5Refrigerate overnight (up to 2 days).

6When ready to bake, dilute soup with milk and pour over mixture.

7Bake at 325° for 60 to 75 minutes, until set.

8Serves 8 to 10.
