Ingredients
- 1 cup flour
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon cream of tartar
- 1/4 teaspoon sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 cup butter, cubed
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/3 cup milk
- 1/2 cup chive & onion cream cheese (1/2 of an 8 oz tub)
Directions

1Preheat oven to 450°F.

2Mix flour, baking powder, cream of tartar, sugar and salt in medium bowl.

3Cut in butter with pastry blender or two knives until mixture resembles coarse crumbs.

4Stir in Cheddar cheese.

5Add milk; stir until mixture forms soft dough.

6Place on lightly floured surface; knead 8 to 10 times or until smooth.

7Pat out dough into 6 inch square.

8Cut into nine squares.

9Place on ungreased baking sheet.

10Bake 10 to 12 minutes or until golden brown.

11Spread each warm biscuit with 2-1/2 teaspoons of the cream cheese spread.
