Easy Braised Winter Melon

- 1/4 Winter melon
- 1 1/2 tsp Chicken stock granules
- 1 Water (to cover winter melon)
- 1 piece Ginger
- 1 teaspoon~ Shiro-dashi (white soy sauce soup stock) or Dashi-jyoyu (stock and soy sauce mixture)
- 1 Chopped green onion
Directions

1Peel and deseed the winter melon.

2Cut into quarters and slice the quarters into 1 cm cubes.

3Put the winter melon, chicken stock granules and water in a small pot and let it come to a boil (lower to low heat upon boiling)

4Turn off the heat when the winter melon softens, add Shirodashi (white soy sauce soup stock) or dashi soy sauce and let it come to a boil.

5Plate and top with some chopped green onions.
