Easy Brunch Casserole

- 1 lb. hot sausage
- 6 slices bread, cubed
- 1 c. sharp Cheddar cheese, shredded
- 2 c. milk
- 6 eggs
- 1 tsp. salt (optional)
- pepper to taste
- 1 tsp. dry mustard
Directions

1Brown sausage and drain well.

2In a 9 x 13-inch casserole dish, layer bread, sausage and cheese.

3Repeat, using the remaining bread, sausage and cheese.

4Slightly beat the eggs (I use a wire eggbeater) in a large mixing bowl.

5Add the salt, pepper and dry mustard.

6(I sift the dry mustard as I add it; it is hard to blend.)

7Beat to blend.

8Add the milk.
-
9Beat again and pour over the layers.
