  • 1 c. water
  • 3/4 c. oil
  • 1 stick margarine
  • 4 Tbsp. cocoa
  • 2 c. sugar
  • 2 c. plain flour, sifted
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 c. buttermilk
  • 1 tsp. soda (mix in milk)

Directions

    Bring to boil the first 4 ingredients and cool.

    Mix sugar and flour; pour first mixture over this and beat.
  3. 3
    Add eggs, buttermilk and soda to other mixture and beat.
  4. 4
    Pour into long baking pan. Cook at 300° for 40 minutes.
