Easy Christmas Fruit Cake

Ingredients

  • 1 spice cake mix
  • 1 container mixed candied fruit
  • 1 box raisins
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 c. water
  • 1 lb. shelled walnuts
  • 1/4 c. cooking oil

Directions

    Empty cake mix into a large bowl.

    Mix well with eggs, water and oil.

    In another bowl, mix candied fruit, raisins and walnuts in 2/3 cup flour so they don't sink to bottom of cake.

    Mix batter and fruit mixture together.

    Pour into greased and floured tube pan.

    Bake for 1 hour at 350° until toothpick comes out clean when inserted.

    Remove from oven.

    While cake is warm, drizzle with mixture of 1 cup of powdered sugar and a few tablespoons of warm water.

    Decorate top with maraschino cherries, pieces of green fruit from fruit mixture and walnuts.
