  • 4 slightly beaten eggs
  • 1/2 c. sugar
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. vanilla
  • 2 1/2 c. scalded milk
  • 1 (9-inch) deep dish pastry shell
  • 1/4 tsp. nutmeg

Directions

    Blend eggs, sugar, salt, nutmeg and vanilla.

    Gradually stir in scalded milk.

    Pour into pastry shell.

    Bake in moderate oven at 350° about 40 minutes or until knife inserted between center and edges comes out clean.

    Cook on rack and chill.
