Easy Fruit Cobbler

  • 1 1/2 c. flour
  • 3 tsp. baking powder
  • 1 1/2 c. sugar
  • 1/2 c. milk
  • 1 stick margarine
  • 1 (16 oz.) can fruit (peaches, cherries, blueberries or fruit cocktail works great too)
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 Tbsp. vanilla

Directions

    Melt margarine in deep ovenproof dish.

    Mix flour, sugar, salt, baking powder, milk and vanilla flavoring (almond is good with cherries) to make a batter (pancake consistency).

    Pour over melted margarine.

    Gently pour in fruit - juice and all.

    Bake at 350° about 35 minutes until top is browned.
