  • 3 cups icing sugar
  • 12 cup cocoa
  • 14 cup evaporated milk
  • 1 cup hard butter or 1 cup margarine, cut into small chunks
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla
  • pecan halves (optional)

    Measure icing sugar and cocoa into ungreased two-quart casserole dish.

    Do not stir.

    Add evaporated milk and margarine.

    Cook, uncovered on high in microwave for about 3 1/2 minutes until butter is melted.

    Add vanilla.

    Beat with electric mixer until smooth.

    Turn into foil-lined 8x8-inch pan.

    Place in freezer 40 minutes, then refrigerate.

    Cut into 64 squares.

    Top each square with pecan half, if desired.
