Ingredients

  • 3 c. sugar
  • 3/4 c. margarine (not whipped)
  • 2/3 c. evaporated milk (Pet/Carnation)
  • 1 (12 oz.) pkg. semi-sweet real chocolate chips
  • 1 (7 oz.) jar Kraft Marshmallow Creme
  • 1 c. chopped nuts or Angel Flake coconut

Directions

    Stir together in a heavy 2 1/2 to 3-quart saucepan, sugar, margarine and milk.

    Bring to full boil, stirring constantly. Boil for five minutes over medium heat or until candy thermometer reaches 234°, stirring constantly to prevent scorching.

    Remove from heat.

    Gradually stir in chocolate chips until melted.

    Add other remaining ingredients; mix until well blended.

    Pour into a greased 9 x 9-inch or 13 x 9-inch pan.

    Cool at room temperature. Cut into squares.

    Makes about 3 pounds.
