Easy Layered Meat Loaf

  • 1 12 lbs lean ground beef
  • 12 cup breadcrumbs
  • 14 cup chopped parsley
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 18 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1 (8 ounce) can tomato sauce with onion
  • 1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • 12 cup pickle relish

    Preheat oven to 350F.

    In a large bowl, combine beef, bread crumbs, parsley, egg, salt, pepper and 1/2 can of tomato sauce.

    Place half the meat mixture in a loaf pan.

    Cover with cheese and relish, then cover with the remaining meat mixture.

    Bake for 1 hour.

    Drain off accumulated fat.

    Turn loaf out into a shallow baking pan.

    Cover with remaining tomato sauce and bake 15 minutes longer.
