- 2 lb. beef stew meat
- 1 medium onion, chopped large
- 6 ribs celery, cut in 1-inch pieces
- 4 medium chopped potatoes
- 6 or 7 carrots, cut in 1-inch pieces
- 1 bay leaf
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 Tbsp. sugar
- 5 Tbsp. Minute tapioca
- 1 (30 oz.) can or 2 1/2 c. tomatoes (with juice)
- 1 c. water
- 2 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
Directions

1In heavy Dutch oven or crock-pot, first layer meat, then onion, celery, carrots and potatoes.

2Lay on bay leaf.

3Mix salt, sugar and tapioca.

4Sprinkle over.

5Add Worcestershire sauce, tomatoes and water.

6Cover tightly.

7Bake at 275° for 4 to 5 hours for in crock-pot overnight for 8 hours on low.
