Ingredients
- 1 lb. ground beef or turkey
- 1 onion, chopped (1/2 to 3/4 c.)
- 1 (14 oz.) can tomatoes, chunked
- 1 (4 oz.) can mushroom stems and pieces
- 3/4 c. elbow macaroni
- 1/4 tsp. chili powder
- 1 tsp. garlic salt
- 1/2 c. shredded Cheddar cheese or to taste
Directions

1Brown crumbled meat; drain grease.

2Add onion, tomatoes with liquid, mushrooms with liquid and macaroni.

3Heat to boiling. Reduce heat to low; cover and cook 20 to 30 minutes, stirring often, until macaroni is done and most of liquid is absorbed.

4If needed, water may be added to keep mixture moist.

5Stir in chili powder, garlic powder and sprinkle with cheese.

6Cover only long enough to melt cheese.

7Serve in skillet.

8Crusty bread and green salad complete this quick meal.
