- 2 pkg. active dry yeast
- 2 c. warm water (105~ to 115~)
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 1/4 c. shortening
- 1 egg
- 6 1/2 to 7 c. flour
- 2 tsp. salt
Directions

1Dissolve yeast in warm water in large mixing bowl.

2Stir in sugar, shortening, egg, salt and 3 cups of flour.

3Beat until smooth.

4Stir in enough remaining flour to make dough easy to handle.

5Place dough in greased bowl; turn greased side up.

6Cover loosely with plastic wrap.

7Refrigerate at least 2 hours, or until ready to use.

8(Dough can keep up to 4 days in refrigerator at 45° or below.
