- 2 cups self rising flour
- 1 1/2 cups sugar
- 1/2 cup shortening
- 1 cup milk
- 1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla
- 3 eggs
Directions

1Sift flour first then measure into mixing bowl, also sift sugar in with flour, add shortening and vanilla and milk.

2Beat this 2 full minutes on medium speed.

3Add 3 eggs, beat 2 full minutes again.

4Bake at 350 degrees for 30 to 35 minutes or until toothpick comes out clean.

5Makes 2 good sized layers.

6Frost with 7 Minute Frosting, top with coconut.
