Easy Turkey Chili

  • 1 lb. ground turkey
  • 1 c. chopped onions
  • 1 medium green pepper, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 3 (15 oz.) cans pinto beans, drained and rinsed
  • 1 (16 oz.) can recipe-style stewed tomatoes
  • 1 c. salsa
  • 1 Tbsp. ground cumin
  • 2 tsp. chili powder
  • reduced-fat Cheddar cheese or fat-free sour cream (if desired)

Directions

    Spray saucepan with nonstick spray.

    Add turkey, onions, green peppers and garlic.

    Cook until turkey is lightly brown or done. Add beans, tomatoes (with juices), salsa, cumin and chili powder. Bring to a boil, then reduce the heat.

    Cover and simmer for 20 minutes to blend flavors.

    If desired, top with Cheddar cheese or sour cream.
