- 4 to 5 lb. venison roast
- 3 Tbsp. salt
- 3 Tbsp. baking soda
- cold water
- 1 stick unsalted butter
- 1 pkg. Mrs. Grass onion soup mix
- garlic powder
- pepper, freshly ground
- 1 large onion, sliced thin
- 1 carton sour cream
Directions

1Preheat the oven to 350°.

2Remove all fat and fell from the roast.

3Soak in mixture of baking soda, salt and water to cover for 4 hours.

4Rinse well and wipe with a paper towel; place in a Dutch oven.
