Ingredients

  • 2 pkg. yeast
  • 1/4 c. warm water
  • 1 1/2 c. lukewarm buttermilk
  • 1/4 c. sugar
  • 1/2 c. oil
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 4 1/2 c. plain flour

Directions

    Dissolve yeast in water; add milk, sugar, oil and salt.

    Sift and gradually add the flour and soda to the yeast mixture.

    Mix well.

    Let stand about 10 minutes.

    Roll out and shape into rolls. Let rise until double in size, about 1 hour.

    Bake at 400° or 425° until rolls are brown
