- 3 or 4 slices bread (not toasted)
- 1 doz. eggs
- 1 lb. sausage, bacon or ham
- 2 c. milk
- salt and pepper
- 3 to 4 oz. grated Cheddar or American cheese
Directions

1Butter 9 x 13-inch casserole dish; line with 3 to 4 pieces of bread.

2Beat eggs and milk together.

3Add cheese to mixture, then crumble in the meat.

4Pour over bread and refrigerate overnight. Bake at 350°, uncovered, for approximately 40 minutes or until knife comes out clean.

5Should resemble a custard in consistency. When done, cut into squares and serve.
