Old-Fashioned Bread Dressing

Ingredients
- 1 qt. diced celery
- 1 c. finely chopped onion
- 1 c. oleo
- 4 qt. dried bread crumbs (3 to 4 day old bread is best)
- 1 Tbsp. salt
- 2 tsp. poultry seasoning
- 1/2 tsp. pepper
- 1 1/2 to 2 c. chicken or turkey broth, milk or water
Directions

1Cook celery and onion in oleo over low heat, stirring occasionally until onion is tender but not brown.

2Blend in dried bread and seasonings; toss lightly.

3Add more seasonings if desired.

4Pour broth or milk or water over mixture.

5Makes enough to stuff a 14 to 18 pound turkey.
