- 4 slightly beaten eggs
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 2 1/2 c. scalded milk
- 1 (9-inch) unbaked pie shell (less than 1/8-inch thick)
Directions

1Mix first four ingredients well, slowly stir in hot milk., Pour quickly into pie shell. Top with nutmeg.

2Bake at 475° for 5 minutes.

3Reduce heat to 425° for 15 minutes or until knife inserted into center comes out clean.

4Cool on rack, serve cool.
