  • 4 eggs, slightly beaten
  • 2 1/2 c. milk
  • 1/2 c. sugar
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • nutmeg

    Beat eggs slightly; add sugar and salt.

    Add milk and vanilla. Mix well.

    Pour into 9-inch unbaked pie shell (chilled). Sprinkle with nutmeg.

    Bake in 425° oven for 15 minutes; reduce heat to 350°, baking until knife comes out clean from center of pie, about 20 or 25 minutes.
