- 6 large eggs, separated
- 1 c. sugar, divided
- 1 1/2 c. bourbon or to taste
- 1 qt. heavy cream
- freshly grated nutmeg
Directions

1In medium size mixing bowl, beat egg yolks with 2/3 cup sugar until mixture is lemon colored.

2Slowly add bourbon, beating constantly.

3In a large mixing bowl, beat egg whites and remaining sugar until mixture is almost stiff.

4Fold bourbon mixture into egg whites.

5Whip cream and fold into egg mixture.
-
6Grate fresh nutmeg over top.

7Egg nog tastes better if made the day before and refrigerated.
